Introduction
EUROMOT welcomes the European Commission’s efforts to provide additional clarity on the implementation of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) through the recently published simplification package, including updated Guidance and FAQs.
While these updates represent a constructive step, particularly regarding the clarification of roles within the supply chain and certain aspects of Due Diligence Statements (DDS), EUROMOT members continue to face significant practical uncertainties regarding the concrete application of the Regulation.
This position paper outlines key concerns identified by industry stakeholders and highlights areas where further clarification and engagement with the European Commission are necessary.
