EUROMOT has been accredited as a stakeholder at the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). ECHA’s mission is to protect human health and the environment and to ensure the safe use of chemicals.
As an accredited stakeholder, EUROMOT will have the opportunity to participate in the Committee for Risk Assessment (RAC) and the Committee for Socio-economic Analysis (SEAC) meetings. These committees are pivotal in evaluating chemical risks and analyzing the socio-economic impacts of the EU’s Chemicals legislation & regulatory measures.
EUROMOT addresses ECHA-related topics through its “Material Compliance” expert group, which focuses on the requirements concerning powertrain composition and the use of substances and materials within powertrains. This involvement will enable EUROMOT to contribute to shaping EU’s Chemicals regulations that affect the industry while promoting safety and sustainability.
